Conference venue
The venue – Reval Hotel Latvia – is located in the centre of Riga, easily accessible by all means of transport and by feet (see Map).
 








Getting here

Latvia is a member of the EU and the Schengen Agreement. For possible visa requirements from other countries, please see information at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia.
 
Air

Riga International Airport links Riga to 69 destinations all over Europe and in the world. Major carriers for European and world destinations are the Latvian National Airline “airBaltic” and the low fares airline “Ryanair”. AirBaltic and “Aeroflot Russian Airlines connect Riga to Russian destinations.
Riga International Airport is 13 km away from the Conference venue. You can either take a taxi (15-20 minutes ride, expect to pay around 6 Lats (8.5 €)) or a bus Nr. 22 (will get you to the city centre). The bus stop is right in front of the airport.
 
Bus    

International bus lines connect Riga with destinations in Estonia and Lithuania, Russia, Belarus, Poland, France, Germany and other countries. For more information on routes please see the Riga International Coach Terminal or the major bus carriers “Ecolines” and “Eurolines”.

Sea

Direct ferry lines to Riga:
·   from Lübeck (Travemünde) in Germany, operated by HansaBridge
·   from Stockholm in Sweden, operated by Tallink

Rail    

Latvian Railway links Riga central train station with such destinations as St. Petersburg, Moscow and Minsk. Press here for more information on local and international trains and timetables. 
 
Getting around

All major sightseeing, catering and entertainment places, including the Old Town, are located in the centre of Riga and can be easily accessed from the conference venue by feet.
Public transport – tram, bus and trolley bus services run throughout the city, tickets can be bought from newsstands, vending-machines or right on board. More information on public transport you can find here.
Taxis are found at the taxi ranks or can be hailed right in the street. Fares must be charged according to the taxi-meter. Major carriers accept credit cards as well.
